We participate in the “Breakfast with businesses” organised by Asprom

OK Mobility has been part of the “Breakfast with businesses” organised by the Balearic Association of People with Physical Disabilities (Asprom) with the aim of exchanging views on the current situation of access to the labour market for people with disabilities.

As a result of the collaboration agreement that we have maintained with this entity since 2019, our colleagues from the Department of People and Culture have attended this meeting in which topics such as the strategies and methodologies used by the participating companies to face the health crisis have been discussed. There has also been talk about those  personal skills that need to be developed in this new situation, among which adaptation to change and digitalisation stand out.

At OK Mobility we have been working to be an active part of this development process, demonstrating our commitment and social responsibility with the aim of promoting diversity and the integration of people with disabilities in the workplace.

Espejo Público interviews Othman Ktiri to talk about the rent a car situation in the Balearic Islands

The CEO of OK Mobility, Othman Ktiri, has acted as spokesman for the rent a car business in the Balearic  Islands in Antena 3’s morning programme Espejo Público on July 16 to analyse the effects of the sector’s rise in prices due to the fleet shortage in destinations as popular as the islands.

A situation in which Ktiri recommends acting with foresight and, therefore, making car rental reservations as soon as possible to minimise the impact.

OK Mobility exceeds in the first half of the year the levels of pre-pandemic turnover and profitability

  • The global mobility company invoices € 145 million so far this year, 6 % more than in the same period of 2019, and expects to close the year with € 370 million.
  • The company leads the growth of the sector in Spain in a year marked by expansion and internationalisation.

OK Mobility closes the first half of the year with a turnover of 145 million euros, which is 6 % above the figures obtained in the same period of pre-pandemic year 2019. In this way, the global mobility company exceeds the goals set for the end of June 2021, both in terms of car rental services and the revenue obtained from the sale of vehicles.

So far this year, the company’s operating margin has reached 25 million euros and an EBIT of € 7.9 MM, surpassing the levels obtained in 2019.

The good results achieved coincide with the launch earlier this year of the new OK Mobility brand with which the OK Mobility Group has encompassed its main business divisions of vehicle rental and sales. In the solutions focused on rental and mobility, the good performance in these summer months stands out, where the company is obtaining notable improvements over 2019 on the main metrics of the business, reaching the best efficiency ratios in its history.

In terms of the vehicle sale activity, the strong positioning in purchases, added to the current shortage of vehicles in the market, allow an optimal present and future profitability.

The CEO of OK Mobility, Othman Ktiri, shows his satisfaction with these results and reveals the company’s good forecasts for the end of the current financial year: “The number of bookings achieved for the coming months and the good performance of the second-hand vehicle market, together with our know-how in the automotive and tourism sectors, lead us to foresee a year-end that could be around 370 million euros of turnover, with an operating result (EBIT) that should exceed € 25 MM. Magnitudes that would be above those reached in 2019, the year before the pandemic.”

In this way, the company stars in a 2021 of expansion and internationalisation. “The new #OKontheRoad Plan is marking the scalability in the expansion of our company, always maximising profitability and efficiency, as well as our clear focus on customers and strong commitment to online sales channels”, says Ktiri.

Find us in Palma airport!

This season, OK Mobility will operate inside Palma airport. Aena recently allocated Alicante, Malaga and Valencia airports, and now Palma, Majorca airport joins the list.

Following this decision, OK Mobility Group is in the Top 5 business groups with rent a car activity which are present in Spanish airports and the first group with 100 % Spanish capital. The company already has their own offices in 13 airports, therefore consolidating their position in Spain’s main tourist airports, which welcomed more than 73 million passengers in 2019.

The company is enjoying double satisfaction. Not only have we managed to enter one of Spain’s most emblematic airports, Palma is a very special place for us because this city is where our company was founded almost two decades ago.

With these new offices, OK Mobility is making progress with their expansion and growth plan: #OKontheRoad Plan, with the firm ambition to become global mobility leaders in Europe.

OK Mobility starts operating in Palma airport

  • Following Aena’s decision, the global mobility company is in the Top 5 business groups present in Spanish airports.

This season, OK Mobility will operate in Palma airport. Having recently opened in Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández airport, Malaga-Costa del Sol airport and Valencia airport, the global mobility company has been awarded office space by Aena to operate in the Palma Majorca airport terminal.

OK Mobility’s CEO, Othman Ktiri, expressed his double satisfaction with this decision, stating “not only have we managed to enter one of the most emblematic Spanish airports, a top tourist destination par excellence, Palma is a very special place for us because it is the city where our company was founded nearly two decades ago. Being awarded this space is a dream come true”.

“Specifically, we chose this airport as the place to pay homage to our beloved island with a large mural, painted by Majorcan artist Joan Aguiló. This masterpiece is already welcoming all Majorcan returning home to the island and the passengers and tourists who come and visit us”, adds Ktiri.

With these new offices, OK Mobility is making progress with their expansion and growth plan: #OKontheRoad Plan. Their great know-how as stakeholders specializing in vacation rentals, as well as their acute attention to detail, had led the company to consider new locations and take important decisions, such as opening in the main Spanish tourist airports in Alicante, Malaga, Majorca and Malaga; and the recent opening in new European countries such as Malta and Greece.
